18 MOIS
DOCUMENTARY
In the heart of Marseille, a collective decides to offer shelter to migrants: the Saint-Just squat is born.
A true community of solidarity gradually takes shape on camera. From four migrants at the beginning, the number grows to 400 by the following autumn. Organizations, meetings, codes of conduct, access to healthcare and education. The film explores this human experience, capturing its victories without overlooking its failures, which never extinguish hope.
With "18 MOIS", we wanted to reaffirm our deepest conviction: solidarity is far more than a simple concept, it is a fundamental pillar of our humanity.
"An extraordinary documentary, both in the human and social reality it portrays and in its cinematic form, which is reminiscent of Jean Rouch's ethnological approach and his cinéma vérité." ArtVif Collective
